The Attic Schoolhouse believes that your child’s most important learning and development growth is taking place right now—before age five! We are excited to be a part of this crucial developmental phase by helping your child understand the world around them and how they fit into it through stimulating, age-appropriate activities in Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music and Physical Education.

The Attic Schoolhouse implements the learning of these concepts and ideas through fun and entertaining dramatic play and manipulatives, as well as through stories, music, and group activities. We encourage your child to use words to negotiate the world around them, and to learn how to respond appropriately to every day encounters and situations.

A new theme will play center stage each preschool day. Children participate in dramatic play as they contribute ideas cooperatively in building the model for the day and then practice elements of Writing, Math, Decision-Making and Social skills as they conduct the commerce of the spotlighted theme.

Children use costumes and props to identify with people, times, and places in make-believe and real worlds. Our goal is to help your child build self-confidence while performing in each of these areas, as well as develop the listening and early reading and writing skills they need to succeed in their future education.
